The T10 League is a ten-over-format cricket league started and owned by T Ten Sports Management in the United Arab Emirates. The league is sanctioned by the Cricket Board of Emirates. Matches are 10-over-a-side and 90 minutes is the length of each match. A round-robin, followed by eliminators and the final, is the tournament.

The format

This year’s fourth season, containing 29 matches, runs from 28 January to 6 February and will be played at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

Eight teams will compete in the tournament, just as last season, and have now been split into two groups of four teams each.

With Bangla Tigers, Delhi Bulls, and Northern Warriors – the Winners of the 2018 edition, defending champions Maratha Arabians are slotted in Group A. Deccan Gladiators, the runners-up last year, are in Group B with Qalandars, Team Abu Dhabi, and Pune Devils.

In the group stage, the teams will play three matches together before going into the Super League on February 1. In the group stage, a total of 12 players, followed by 12 more in the Super League, will make room for the February 5 playoffs.

In the qualifier for a spot in the final, the top two-ranked teams will take on each other, while the third and fourth-ranked teams will be up against each other on February 5 in Eliminator 1. The runner-up in the Qualifier will then compete against the Eliminator 1 winner in Eliminator 2 on the same day for a spot in the final.

How rules are different?

Consider T20 cricket then cut it all in two. Ok, everything, mostly.

The T20 League is a side-by-side 10-over competition with a 90-minute draw. Each bowler only gets 2 overs a match and Powerplay lasts 3 overs outside the 30-yard circle with a limit of 2 players allowed. After 3 overs, beyond the circle, a maximum of 5 players are permitted.

With just 60 deliveries an innings, although an innings break is 10 minutes, there are no breaks during it.

But don’t think fewer runs means fewer overs. The 29 matches had 5,989 runs scored with 800 boundaries and 259 wickets during the 2019 season.

PD Vs QAL result Updates

Qalandars won by 9 wickets.
In the second over (21 runs), Qalandars won by 9 wickets, Banton took full toll of some ordinary bowling by Nasir Hossain, and the bleeding never stopped. The next two overs went for 33 runs, cutting off expectations for the Pune Devils, who started last night with a seven-wicket-win, to win in succession.
