The phase 2 of the IPL 2021 started yesterday in the whistle podu style. Today Kolkata Knight Rider will take on Royal Challenger Bangalore .

Virat Kohli’s boys gave tough shoulder in the phase one with five wins out of seven . Their campaign with five consecutive wins was broke by yellow army eventually. They manage to be on third position on the points table. Harshal Patel turns out their best player as in just 7 matches he picked 17 wickets and currently is the highest wicket taker of the tournament.

On the other hand if we look at Kolkata Knight Riders team , they failed to impress with both bath and ball. They hardly manage to win two matches out of seven and are at the table bottom. The trouble didn’t stop here , their big man Pat Cummins make himself unavailable for the phase two which come as a big blown to them. They roped in Tim Southee as replacement. From here every match is a must win match for them .

In last five matches Virat led team has advantage over KKR as they won four matches with just one lost. Last time these two met in the earlier season , RCB post 204 runs on board and it was  huge  for Kolkata as they felt short by 38 runs.
