OnThisDay Don created history by becoming the first player to score a triple century in a day. He scored unbeaten 309 on the close of the first day of the 1930 Headingley Leeds test. The innings remains the most runs scored by a player in a day. Sir Don Bradman was eventually dismissed on 334 his test score.
