IPL festival starts with a bang and its time for the second game of Indian Premier League 2020. The north India will face against north India , Delhi Capitals will take on Kings XI Punjab today. Both teams leading by young captains and both team are yet to win the title.This year there is a hope from both teams as they look better ispecially from Delhi Captials . Shreyas Iyer’s led Delhi Captials looks good on paper and everyone pick this team in their top four team list right after the auctions. Last year in 2019 Shreyas’s captaincy was in good talks as they made it to second round of the tournament after seven seasons. DC has bunch of talented players and it will be tough for captain to pick his playing XI.
For opening Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw will be automatic selection . On no. 3 and 4 Rishabh Pant and shreyas Iyer will shape explosive middle order , there is likely no place for Ajinkya Rahane . Ravichandran Ashwin likely to led spin department. Pace attack of Ishant Sharma will be assisted by Kagiso Rabada in death overs. Now all eyes on franchise if they give Shimron Hetmyer or Harshal Patel any place in playing XI .
KINGS XI PUNJAB
New captain, coaching staff and head coach this team looks complete fresh for the tournament . All eyes on the new captain KL Rahul and head coach Anil Kumble . Punjab fans are confident this year as last time UAE 2014 records were excellent they won 5 out of 5 matches . Since then they haven’t played a play offs and remain underperformers .
Kl Rahul will open with Mayank Aggarwal , Gayle may be or may not be opening option . Maxwell and Nicolas Pooran will flourish middle order. For spin department they have Kirshanappa Gowtham , Mujeeb – ur – Rahaman and Ravi Bishnoi. Mohammad Shami will be on front seat for pace department along with new comer Sheldon Cottrell .
