Rajasthan Royals wrote history after buying Chris Morris for 16.25cr leaving him the highest-paid cricket player in IPL history. To strengthen their pace department, they also added Bangladesh’s seamer Mustafizur Rahman for 1cr.

In the build-up to the IPL 2021 auctions in Chennai, Royals had already trade-off Uthappa to Chennai Super Kings over the next season in all real money. Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler, Rahul Tewatia, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Gopal, and Jaydev Unadkat have been retained by the Royals.
